In a groundbreaking partnership, Tampa Bay Thrives, Florida Blue, and the Bullard Family Foundation came together to launch the Zen Den at Sligh Middle School – a dedicated space for student mental wellness. This innovative room provides a range of therapeutic services, including art therapy, yoga, and behavioral reflection sessions, along with wellness mentoring. Therapy dogs are also available, offering emotional support to students. Recognizing the importance of mental health in education, Tampa Bay Thrives is now working to replicate this success by supporting the development of similar wellness rooms across the Tampa Bay area. Explore the Zen Den at Sligh Middle School and discover how we’re creating environments where students can thrive.
