What This Tool Is
A short, repeatable breathing reset inspired by Pilates that can be used anywhere, in class or in real life, to release held stress and recenter the mind-body connection.
Steps: Pilates Breath Reset
1. Find your stance
Sit or stand tall. Relax your shoulders. Place one hand on your ribs or lower belly to feel your breath.
2. Inhale with intention
Breathe in through your nose, expanding your ribs wide and back, not just your chest. Imagine creating space in your body.
3. Slow, controlled exhale
Exhale through your mouth, gently drawing your core in as if you’re zipping up from your lower belly. Let go of any tension you’re holding.
4. Release the energy
As you exhale, consciously let go of the stress from your day—your jaw, shoulders, neck, or anywhere you feel tight.
5. Repeat to reset
Repeat this breath 3–5 times, until your body feels more grounded and your mind feels clearer.
