Tampa Bay Thrives kicks off Mental Health Awareness Month May 1 by unveiling an awareness campaign featuring residents across the region who are sharing their stories of mental health.

The campaign is called “If you know, you know” (IYKYK), building upon the social media hashtag that speaks to those that have shared or lived experience.

Whether they are on a journey to recovery or are in a support role, these personal stories of inspiration are aimed at destigmatizing the conversations around mental health and getting help.

We are excited to partner with Diamond View Studios to launch the IYKYK campaign.

Mental Health affects our family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. We’ve put on a mask to hide the battles we are fighting; struggles that affect us at home, at school, and at work.

This entire month marks the beginning of our journey of peeling back the mask to show that you are not alone. Most everyone you meet has fought a battle or are facing something they may not feel comfortable discussing for fear of judgment.

We’re here for you and we will continue to advocate for and increase access to mental health help.
