Position Summary

Tampa Bay Thrives is a unique coalition founded in 2019 with a mission of mobilizing the community to strengthen behavioral health outcomes for depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders with a focus on improving early intervention, access, and awareness. We bring together community stakeholders to advance critical, strategic priorities across our region. Tampa Bay Thrives is seeking a strategic, mission-focused Program Manager to support our impact programs planning and projects with community partners and stakeholders. Tampa Bay Thrives is a collaboration-based coalition, and this position requires strong meeting and project planning, ability to perform research and synthesize key findings, and excellent communication and facilitation skills. In this new role, the Programs manager will work alongside the Program Director to support, develop, and implement programming for TBT’s impact programs, including youth mental health. Days/Hours

TBT operates on a hybrid schedule with team members expected to be in its Westshore Tampa office twice a week and remote three days a week.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience in supporting programs in a non-profit setting, preferably in behavioral health, education, social services, and/or the health industry.
  • Pass a Level II Background Check.
  • Strong data analytical and interpretive skills, with the ability to measure and report on outcomes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience managing organizational dashboards. (may include volunteer assignments focused on behavioral health needs, experience through community-based partnerships, or through direct management of behavioral health programs).
  • Detail oriented, organized, able to both work to and manage a project plan.
  • Comfort with meeting management, including scheduling, agenda creation, and minute taking.
  • Driven by curiosity to identify trends, best practices, and external benchmarks to inform work underway.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic, high degree of integrity, self-motivation, initiative, and deliver satisfactory results under pressure.
  • Effective listener and presenter, ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of TBT’s impact and community-based programming. This includes coordination of a yearly calendar of events, workshop scheduling, event planning, etc.
  • Supports the Program Director in collaborating with community leaders and mental health experts to develop programs aimed at strengthening awareness of behavioral health issues and improving access to services for our community.
  • Supports strategic planning, annual planning, goal development, and development of the annual budget.
  • Research best practices and solutions to inform work groups, distill trends, and provide analysis to guide decision-making.
  • Engaging and overseeing middle and high school-aged youth, planning meetings, working groups, and events. Work with youth leaders in school-based and out-of-school time settings to implement TBT programs related to youth and community mental wellness.
  • Nurture and maintain working relationships with key program partners, community-based organizations, and external consultants.
  • Monitor performance against program outcomes and utilize data to inform thinking about the program’s effectiveness and opportunities for improvement. Must be able to communicate findings to internal and external partners.
  • With the Program Director, creates organizational and workgroup dashboards to provide visibility on outcomes.
  • Helps establish and define organizational and business processes as the organization grows.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Notes

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License -The Program Manager will be required to drive across the region to attend various meetings and facilitate programming at partner schools. Occasional night and weekend coverage of those events.
